What Clients Are Saying
“Karen is an amazing counsellor. Even though we are far apart I feel very close and connected with her. Our sessions together have resulted in a massive improvement of my life and of my intimate relationship. As a Pacific Islander I have not been familiar with counselling and especially with working with a woman. Karen helps me to become aware of myself and to see things I have been fully unconscious of in a nonjudgmental manner.” Auckland, New Zealand
“I really appreciate Karen’s style of working with me. I like how she speaks slow, clear and thorough which makes the responses she is giving easily understood and easy to digest. Karen is kind and I feel she understands where I am coming from. I know she is fully present when she listens to me and I appreciate her ongoing feedback. She is very good at connecting me to my body during our sessions. She always checks in by asking what is going on in my body and mind. She does not judge me and I feel safe enough with her to be able to open up (something that is a real challenge for me).” Auckland, New Zealand
“From where we started to where we are now, we are light years apart and would like to thank you so much for your help, support and guidance along the way. We are very appreciative of the patience you’ve shown us and it’s been a pleasure getting to know you the past few months too. We feel ready to move on with the skills and tools that you’ve shared with us to enrich our lives together.” Couple, Auckland, New Zealand
“Karen displays patience and empathy in her dialogue with you, inspiring a feeling of safety and openness. Her understanding of the way we store our memories and beliefs is key to guiding you towards the ability to create a perspective shift. Through her gentle guidance and focused questions, she encourages you to dive into key emotional traumas which can then be re-framed. Through the calm and safe space, I’ve been able to explore my inner world – including job stress, childhood traumas and relationship problems.” Sydney, Australia
“I love your style of counselling. You help calm me down and look deeper into why I’m feeling or thinking something and teach me how to redirect my thinking. You’ve taught me strategies to help keep my thoughts on track and keep calm. I haven’t had therapy with anyone else but look forward to talking to you each week. I wouldn’t change anything at all, I like our sessions the way that they are.” Sydney, Australia
“We would like to thank you for your work and professionalism during a very difficult time for us. We enjoyed our sessions and feel that they were very beneficial. We wish you all the best with your career.” Couple, Auckland, New Zealand
“I am grateful for the counselling sessions. In such a short time you have opened up all of knots in this long rope that’s in my head. I feel as the walls are no longer closing in but are now opening up. You have made my day and I feel so much better with every session we have. Thank you so much!” Sydney, Australia
“I’m surprised how quickly I was to open up to you in the early sessions, so I put this down to your style of being very approachable and accepting. I really entered into the counselling sessions as a pathway to ticking the box for recovery of insurance expenses after my assault. The sessions have helped me get far more insight and control of many events and stressors in my past that were contributing to an emotionally chaotic existence. I wasn’t really consciously aware of how much negative self perception I was carrying. I’ve become so much more self-aware and am now benefitting from more open and meaningful interactions with those around me.” Newcastle, Australia
“I really feel like you’ve helped me make a tonne of progress when it comes to dealing with my difficult past with some of my family members, as well as making it easier to handle it all in the present moment. You’re honestly the best therapist I’ve ever spoken with!” Christchurch, New Zealand
